Making a stopover in Manila

You will arrive at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) in Manila. The airport is named after the national hero "Benigno Aquino". His wife "Corazon Aquino" became the first female president of the Republic of the Philippines in 1986.

Once you leave the arrival area there are plenty of taxis available. The yellow airport taxis is alittle bit more expensier but less hasslefree. In the City however you should always ask the taxi driver to switch on the meter.

You will probably need to spend a night in Manila and fly to Coron/Busuanga the next day. KokosNuss recommends one of the following hotels:

The Paco Park Oasis Hotel is a medium priced hotel with pool, restaurant and travel services opposite an old spanish cemetery which is worth a visit.

The Cherry Blossoms Hotel is conveniently located opposite the Robinsons Place shopping mall.

The Pan Pacific Manila is a luxury hotel and only a 5 minute walk away from the Robinsons Place shopping mall.
